Got a problem in your neighborhood? Not sure who to contact? This section of the website will hopefully give you some ideas as to who you can contact for help with some of the more common neighborhood issues, and what some of the Vallejo city codes are. If you have a question, or want to share a situation you encountered, post it on our message boards in the "Community Issues" section. Let us know if someone did a good job helping to resolve a situation (or a bad job). This information is helpful to us all in making Glen Cove a better place to live. If at all possible, addressing the neighbor with whom you have a problem in a kind and patient manner should be your first approach. Awkward as it may seem, it does offer the best hope for a peaceful resolution. Sometimes, however, this approach is not effective or possible. At that point it may be time to contact some of our paid city employees whose job responsibilities include assisting with these issues. In a June 2004 Glen Cove Community Association meeting, Community Relations Officer Ron Braxton of the Vallejo Police Dept. spoke to us on the topic of dealing with problems in one's neighborhood, and handed out some helpful information including important phone numbers, city codes and ordinances, and more. These materials have been scanned, and can be seen by clicking on the links below. Additional information will be added as it becomes available. Some of the numbers that were specifically mentioned in Officer Braxton's presentation: Nimat Shakoor-Granthm, 648-4522, Code Enforcement Mario Millan, 649-3408, Code Enforcement, basketball hoops Jamie Mortenson, 648-5206, abandoned or unused cars Officer Rick Wizener, 649-3420, Community Relations Officer Rick Florendo, 648-4572, Community Relations For more information, check out these links.
