The Glen Cove Marina has requested a new distilled  spirits/beer/wine liquor license from the Department Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The G.C.C.A. is not attempting to promote a protest but simply want to ensure that
information is available to Glen Cove residents. Some residents will oppose an
expansion of a restaurant in Glen Cove that will include a full liquor license,  while others will support it.
IF you have any protests, complete form  ABC-510-A and return it by Feb. 18th, 2012 according to Mayme Lee, Licensing Representative for the California Dept of  Alcoholic Beverage Control located on  Clay Street in Oakland.  (Phone: 510-622-4970).

The Glen Cove Waterfront Park has dedicated a new 0.4-mile multi-use section of
the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
Construction started late last fall on the 0.4 mile segment in the 15-acre park.
The off-road shoreline trail is part of the Carquinez Strait Scenic Loop Trail
segment that connects Benicia State Recreation Area and Glen Cove Marina. More
than 100 people were in attendance to celebrate the opening of the new trail on
Saturday.

The park is an important juncture of three regional trail
systems to the San Francisco Bay Trail, Bay Area Ridge Trail and the Great
California Delta Trail. The park construction was made possible through a
Cultural Conservation Easement Agreement between the City of Vallejo and the
Yocha Dehe tribe and funding from the California Coastal Commission and
California State Lands Commission.

When completed, the San Francisco Bay
Trail will pass through 47 cities, all nine Bay Area counties and cross seven
toll bridges. The Glen Cove Waterfront
Park
section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail becomes part of the 38.5
mile Ridge Trail Carquinez Strait Scenic Loop.

The park amenities include
trails, waterfront access, picnic tables and benches and wonderful views of the
Carquinez Strait.
